Build a better approach
Goal Kick is a penalty. Aim with the pointer. Hold to charge, release to strike. Keyboard players can use Space for the charge once the aim is set. The keeper dives after the ball is gone, not before. You are beating a read, not a teleport.
A goal scores. A corner is worth more than a center poke. A save, a post, or a ball that never reaches the net costs a life. Three lives. Maximum power is for pride and for the stands, not for every kick.
Turn information into decisions
Watch the keeper’s idle shade. Keepers lean. Shoot the other side at a remembered charge. Pick the side before you start the hold. Moving the aim while charging is how balls dribble into gloves.
After a miss, change only aim or only power. If you change both, you will not know which correction worked. Short and saved means more power or a wider corner. Hard and over the bar means less charge.
Practice for consistent results
A tiny routine helps: side, then meter, then release. If the line feels wrong, abort. Waiting is a kick you do not have to take. Makes follow the routine.
Drill: eight kicks with aim frozen before the charge. If you feel yourself twisting mid-hold, stop and start the routine again. The drill is the order.
