How to play Slam Court

Walk left and right on a 3D court, then charge and release an arc toward a hoop in the distance. A miss costs a life. Consecutive nets multiply. Basketball Shot is a 2D power meter with no court walk. Here the skill is lining the body, then choosing loft.

Walk the court, then loft

Slam Court is a 3D walk-then-arc. Play it when you want a hoop that sits in the distance, not a 2D meter you release from a fixed spot.

The hoop sits in the distance

The court recedes. The hoop is an orange ring on a post. Your player is the cyan box. The ball is the orange cube in flight. A miss is a life. Net streaks are consecutive makes.

Pick x, then one charge

You pick an x, charge a loft you have already seen work, and leave the ball alone in the air. Walking during the charge is how a good loft hits the post.

Change line or loft, not both

Change x or charge, not both. If it was short, more loft. If it was left of the ring, move before you hold. Basketball Shot is the 2D cousin if you wanted only a bar.

If you wanted a 2D bar and no walk

This is not Basketball Shot. Basketball Shot is a 2D power meter with no court walk. Slam Court is lining a body in 3D, then lofting.

Why the ball is a box in an arc

A 2D meter pasted on a 3D court still played like Basketball Shot. Walking is the extra verb. A miss costs a life so the sitting has a shape. The hoop is a ring of boxes so depth stays readable.

Controls

Move left and right on the 3D court with arrows / A D or by dragging. Hold Space or the canvas to charge loft, release to shoot. You cannot walk while the ball is in the air. A miss or a short bounce costs a life.

Scoring and lives

A ball through the hoop scores, and consecutive nets multiply. A miss costs a life. Three lives. Later you will want a different x before you charge. Combos are consistency, not a shop.

Habits that raise the ceiling

Line your body under the hoop first, then pick loft. Change one thing after a miss: x or charge, not both. A late walk during the charge dumps the line you already had.

Common mistakes

  • Charging from the same x after every miss
  • Releasing at full meter every time
  • Treating this like Basketball Shot’s 2D bar with no court walk

A two-minute drill

Take six shots from one x, changing only charge. Then six from a new x with the charge you liked. The drill isolates line from loft.

A longer sitting: six shots, one x

Six shots from one x, changing only charge. Then six from a new x with the charge you liked. Makes will come if the loft is remembered. They will not come if you walk during the charge and invent a new experiment every ball.

Basketball Shot is the 2D meter cousin. This court is for lining a body. Misses cost a life so the sitting ends. If 3D depth to the hoop is uncomfortable, use the 2D title. Combos never buy a heart. Set a timer before the first hold.

Six shots at one x, then six at a new x. The Slam Court guide is the line-then-loft article.
