Families are a map, not a mood board
Jump, flap, climb are three timing problems. Lanes and gaps never jump. Dodge, slide, smash commits to a line. Catch, slash, wait is refusal as much as speed. If you pick the next game by art style, you will replay the same verb with a new coat.
The family blurb under each heading names the titles and the difference. Read that sentence before you tap Play now. The card slogan is the drill. The blurb is why that drill is not the neighbor’s drill.
Cousins sit together on purpose
Goal Kick and Keeper Dive share a family because they are the same penalty from two chairs. Block Merge and Sum Ten share a family because they are both number games that are not the same rule. Putting them apart would hide the choice.
If two titles in a family ever become the same verb, one of them should move or be cut. The family list is an editorial claim we have to keep true when the catalog grows.
Use the map after a sitting, not only before
After a hop, open a pour, a wait, or the other side of the ball. After a still puzzle, a charge sport is a different body. The week-of-sittings essay is a longer rotation. The family list is the short map on the home page.
Search and filter still live on /games if you already know the title. The family map is for the visit that would otherwise become Endless Runner three times.
