Sparkle is optional
Endless Runner coins sit on edges that steal the next landing. Sky Hop coins sit off the ledge you actually need. Taking every sparkle is a different game than surviving the course. We leave the coins visible so greed is a readable choice, not a hidden tax.
If a sitting is a break, ignore pickups on the first round. Confirm the verb. Then decide whether coins are a drill or a trap for that canvas.
XP coins are a different object
HUD coins from rounds are a souvenir in this browser. They are not the yellow pickups in the runner. Mixing those two “coins” in one sentence is how the arcade starts to sound like a shop. It is not a shop.
Clicking an ad does not mint either kind. Ads sit beside the page. Pickup coins sit in the course. XP coins sit in localStorage. Three words, three jobs.
A good round can skip treasure
The playbooks say so in different words: skip isolated coins, catch ledges not sparkles, smash the lowest rock not the shiny one. If a title ever requires a pickup to continue, that is a design defect we should cut.
The verb is jump, flap, wait, pour, or dive. Treasure is commentary. Play the commentary only after the verb already has a name.
