Build a better approach
Vial Sort is a pouring puzzle. Each vial holds four. Tap a source, then a destination. The top run of the same color pours until the destination is full or the run ends. You cannot pour onto a different color. Tap the source again to cancel.
Empty vials are the working space. If every vial has something in it, you will eventually have nowhere to pour. Protect one empty—or one vial with room—on purpose. Filling the last gap is how boards die.
Turn information into decisions
Finish a color that is already almost done before you open a new mix. Breaking a finished vial to rescue one misplaced drop usually costs more pours than it saves. Whole runs beat single drops when the destination can take them.
There are no lives. Shuffle is allowed. A board you no longer understand is worth a reset. Score rewards fewer pours because fewer pours means you used space instead of churning.
Practice for consistent results
Look at the tops. The tops are the only legal pours. A pretty stack underneath does not help until it is on top. Pour to reveal, then pour to finish.
Drill: solve one board while keeping a single empty vial at all times. If you fill it, reshuffle and try the rule again. Space first.
