Name the landing before the hop
City Dash is a 3D rooftop hop. The runner moves forward across cartoon buildings. Tap, or press Space or ArrowUp, to hop. Steer with arrows, A/D, or by dragging. You can only start a hop while you are on a roof. Falling between buildings costs a life.
Distance along the street is the backbone of the score. Gems on some ledges add a streak bonus. They are optional. Later roofs are narrower and more offset. Three lives. There is no combat, no chase, and no wanted meter. The city is boxes so the next ledge stays readable.
Gems off the line can wait
Name the landing before you hop. A gem that sits on that landing is a gift. A gem off the edge is paint you can refuse. Recover to the center of a wide roof before the next gap. Steering hard in the air after a late jump is how people miss a roof they already had.
Sky Hop bounces for you. Endless Runner is a side-view ground hop. City Dash is a roof you have to land in perspective. If those cousins sound closer to what you wanted, open them. This title is for depth and a named landing.
Recover to the roof center
3D camera pitch can feel like a lot of motion. Pause if you feel dizzy. The 8+ note covers cartoon peril and perspective, not a claim that a child should play unsupervised. Not directed at children under 13. Set a stopping time; streaks are good at asking for one more roof.
Drill: five roofs with gems ignored. Then a sitting that takes only gems on landings you already chose. The streak is a bonus. The landing is the game. Stop when the five roofs are done, even if a sparkle is still sitting on the next ledge.
