How to play Pin Bowl

Move to aim the ball, hold to set power, release to roll. Pins you hit stay down for the score. A gutter with nothing knocked over costs a life. Each throw is a fresh rack, so commit to one line.

Controls

Move left and right to aim. Hold to charge power, release to roll. There is no hook stick; line and power are the whole throw. A roll that hits no pins is a gutter.

Scoring and lives

Pins knocked down score two each, or 30 for a strike. A gutter costs a life. Three lives. Every throw resets a full rack.

Habits that raise the ceiling

Aim at a pocket, then pick one power. After a light hit, add power or move the line—not both. Strikes come from repeating a line, not from a new experiment every ball.

Common mistakes

  • Charging to maximum on every roll
  • Aiming at the front pin from dead center and hoping
  • Changing aim and power together after one gutter

A two-minute drill

Throw eight balls with the same charge. Only the aim may move. The drill isolates the line.
