Playbook

How to play Lane Switch

You occupy one of three lanes. Crates slide down the track; step left or right before they arrive. A hit costs a life. Distance is the score, and the track speeds up the longer you last.

Controls

Move one lane with Arrow keys, A and D, or by tapping the left or right third of the track. You cannot occupy two lanes. There is no jump; only a sidestep.

Scoring and lives

Each crate you pass adds a point. Speed rises with score. A collision costs a life and clears the nearest crates so you can see the track again. Three lives.

Habits that raise the ceiling

Watch the next two crates, not the one already beside you. Return to the center lane when both edges are busy. A pause in the open lane is a move.

Common mistakes

  • Stepping every time a crate appears instead of staying in a clear lane
  • Hugging one wall until both remaining lanes are blocked
  • Looking at your marker instead of the incoming pair

A two-minute drill

Survive until twenty crates have passed while using the center lane whenever it is free. Edge camping is the habit to break.
